In August 2016, the Diners Club Airport Lounge Network reached a significant milestone: we now offer access to more than 700 airport lounges around the world.

Since the 1980s, Diners Clubmembers have enjoyed this exclusive benefit that makes the Diners Club experience unique from what any other credit card could offer: access to a large global network of airport lounges, regardless of card status.

With world travel on the rise, airport lounge access remains a Diners Club core benefit, playing an increasingly important role in enriching and redefining our clubmembers’ travel experience and, ultimately, bringing additional loyalty to our brand. To address the trend of expanding the geographic borders for everyday business or leisure travel, Diners Club is constantly looking for opportunities to have a lounge presence at all key airports around the world.

Our current network covers 121 countries and 415 cities around the globe and continues to grow.

Airport lounge amenities vary by city and may include free Wi-Fi, food and beverages for purchase, shower stations, comfortable couches and access to television. Most importantly, our lounges offer Diners Clubmembers a unique opportunity to indulge in an exclusive travel experience, feel special and have another compelling reason to belong to the Club.

The Salones VIP Pacific Club at Temuco Airport in Chile was just added to our network this month and is one example of this ongoing expansion effort. This new lounge offers shower facilities, comfortable leather seating, Wi-Fi, HD TV, plus a variety of complimentary hot and cold foods and beverages.

Among the most frequently used lounges within the Diners Club network are the Aeroportos VIP Club in Brasilia, Brazil, the VIP Club Lounge & Business Center in Lima, Peru and the Al Maha Transit Lounge in Doha, Qatar.

In 2016 alone, our airport lounge usage surpassed 600,000 visits. But even with increased usage and the tremendous growth of the Diners Club airport lounge global network, the simplicity of entrance to airport lounges remains the same: a Diners Club card is the only “key” required to enter the door that elevates a clubmember’s travel experience to the next level.
